Escalante Trip for Pioneer Day

For the Pioneer Day holiday weekend we went to Escalante with our friends Mark and Talara and their three kids. Talara's family gets together in Escalante every year at her grandparent's house which was built in 1895 and is an old Pioneer home. It was really fun and James and Mark got to go on some hikes while all the women chatted and hung out. We got to see a parade and ate tons of yummy food and it was a great vacation.

James and Mark's hike through Spooky and Peekaboo slot canyons

Waiting on the parade (I was hot since I'm pregnant if you can't tell)

James, Madisson, Talara, and Jayna soaked after the firetruck in the parade soaked them

I LOVE Spooky and Peek-a-boo gulch. When I worked at Bryce Canyon, we would go there all the time. If you want to do an awesome hike down there(not when you are preggers of course) then you should do Coyote Gulch. It is incredible!
